FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is included in this campaign?
- The Grounded in Faith, Growing in Excellence campaign includes 3 main elements which will impact students of all ages now and for years to come.
- An Early Childhood Playground designed specifically for the physical and learning needs of students in grades PK3, PK4, and K.
- A new building on our secondary campus that provides much-needed classroom space for our growing middle and high school programs.
- Phase One of an outdoor athletic complex. This includes a football field, an 8 lane track, field events, a grass practice field, stadium seating for 1,000 fans, and a field house containing locker rooms for male and female athletes, training room, storage, and fan facilities to include restrooms and concessions. (Future phases of the athletic complex will include baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, and an indoor practice facility. While Phase One is our most pressing priority, we look forward to beginning work on additional elements as soon as we are able to do so.)
Is building a sports complex necessary?
Yes! For almost 30 years, TCA student-athletes, their parents, and their fans have traveled long distances for practices and “home” games for all outdoor sports. The loss of access to Aledo ISD facilities for football and track have made this need even more pressing.
Now is the time for our school family to experience the benefits of a true home-field advantage. These advantages include:
- Safety - Our student athletes currently have no place to practice on campus. This leads to students practicing in parking lots and in open fields with uneven surfaces. Games are held at locations that often require significant amounts of travel, and it is not uncommon for students to need to drive themselves to those locations.
- Financial Benefits - Aside from regularly paying for field rentals, owning our own facilities will allow TCA to host tournaments as well as to rent our facilities to other schools and organizations.
- Program Excellence - Having home fields and track facilities will allow our student athletes the opportunity to grow and develop their skills in ways our school has never experienced before. With a growing number of TCA athletes desiring to play at “the next level,” this is increasingly important.
- Community - These facilities will allow TCA to better host a wide variety of events for school and community use. This may include Homecoming, Eagle Dash, Field Day, and many other events.
What will be the total cost of this project?
The total cost of Phase One of the athletic complex is $7.6M and includes the cost of the land. Upon full buildout, the total cost of the athletic complex is currently estimated at $15M.
How will the project be funded?
We intend to fully fund this project with no long-term debt. The “Grounded and Growing” campaign is intended to raise all needed funds. At this time, over one-half of the amount needed has been raised through leadership gifts and foundation grants.
What is the timeframe of the project?
Dirt work will begin in March 2021, and a public groundbreaking is scheduled for May 16. In order to complete the project, pledges and gifts amounting to 100% of the total need will be required.
The early childhood playground and new building are in place and in use. These elements were needed in order to allow TCA to effectively provide in-person school this year. While we have seen enough progress to step out in faith on these two elements, we are not completely “there yet” financially and need the TCA family’s help to continue.
Who will be asked to contribute to the capital campaign?
Board members, school staff, TCA families, friends, and donors to Trinity Christian Academy, along with the philanthropic community of Willow Park and Parker and Tarrant counties will be given an opportunity to participate in this capital campaign to build on TCA’s legacy and continue our impact on future generations.
At this time, all board members and administrators have committed to support the campaign.
Are Public Recognition (Naming) Opportunities available?
Yes, these types of opportunities will be available for the athletic complex. While cost will be considered, suggested amounts will also be based on the uniqueness or location of facilities. Naming Opportunities provide the donor with the opportunity to have his/her name, a business name, or the name of a loved one permanently identified with the TCA athletic complex.
How will gifts and pledges to the capital campaign be collected?
Gifts and pledge commitments will be made to Trinity Christian Academy. Most pledges will be made over a three-year period.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. Trinity Christian Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with federal law. Donors will receive appropriate substantiation for contributions. Please consult with your personal tax advisor.
Does my annual giving count as a capital campaign gift?
No. Annual giving to TCA through regular events or otherwise is needed to continue to support the TCA Tuition Assistance Fund and the ongoing mission of the school. Capital Campaign gifts will only be directed toward expenses for this particular project.

Ways to Give to the Grounded & Growing Capital Campaign
- Cash
- Cash gifts are an easy way to give.
- Cash gifts of any size are immediately directed toward TCA’s Grounded & Growing Campaign and are 100% tax-deductible.
- A cash gift can be made in a one-time payment or a pledge can be made for your gift and can be paid over 3 to 5 years.
- Matching Gifts
- Many companies will match the contributions that employees make to nonprofit organizations.
- Ask your human resources office for a matching gift form.
- Gifts in Kind
- An in-kind donation is any non-cash item or service given to TCA.
- If you or your company would like to donate your services or an item, please contact TCA Interim Head of School Sr. Steve Newby at newby@www.tcaeagles.org.
- How to complete your gift:
- TCA asks that each donor/family complete a Pledge Form via our online form or print and return it to TCA via mail or email to hobbs@www.tcaeagles.org
- Gifts can be made online or by check.
- Recurring pledge payments can be made via our FACTS Giving portal online or by completing your bank information on the pledge form.
- Fee notes
- If you choose monthly withdrawals from your checking or savings account by listing your bank’s routing and your account number on the pledge form, there are zero fees involved.
- If you choose to utilize our FACTS Giving Portal using your debit or credit card, there is a 2% processing fee.
- There is an option for you, the donor, to cover this fee.
- By covering our processing fee, TCA will be able to use your full donation for the campaign.
