Secondary Creative Arts Update

April 08, 2019
By Ken Nobles

This past week, TCA’s secondary theater department performed our annual musical. Shrek, Jr. was a huge success and an incredibly fun time for our performers and audience alike.  Many students and parents put in countless hours of work to ensure the success of the show.  However, the majority of the credit for the show’s success has to go to our Director, Mrs. Wendy Kaznowski, and our Musical Director, Mrs. Jill Bell.  These ladies worked tirelessly since January on a production that is about as big as it gets as far as high school musicals are concerned.  It would be a daunting task for anyone, but one that they handled extremely well.

I had the privilege of being a part of this musical (I played Papa Ogre) and let me tell you, it confirmed to me just how great the students of Trinity Christian Academy truly are.  They worked hard, were kind to one another, and gave it all they had every single performance.  Not to mention how very talented our student body is.  Each night we would pray together before our performance, and one common theme came up each time, to give all of the glory to God for any success the show may have.  The creative arts at TCA is growing and moving in the right direction.  Thank you for all the support you’ve given us.  Whether that was through volunteering your time, buying a ticket to the show, or praying for our students, teachers, and families, I appreciate you all.
