|Creative Arts Opportunities for Students|
At Trinity Christian Academy, there are several opportunites for students to participate in a Creative Arts' class from Pre-K through 12th grade. We understand the importance of Creative Arts' classes and desire that TCA students have a well-rounded education that taps into the creativity that all students possess. Below is a list of opportunities available to all students:
Art - A twice-weekly course that showcases several different mediums and introduces the students to Art History.
Music - A twice-weekly course that allows students to perform through voice and instrument. Four performances highlight each grade level:
Pre-K Christmas Performance
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Easter Musical
2nd through 5th Grade Christmas Musical
Middle School Art - A weekly course with 7th and 8th graders getting the option of choosing Art or a study hall.
High School Art - A course that provides a deep study in Art History and working with several mediums. This course counts as a full credit towards the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.
Middle School Choir - MS Choir is a once-weekly course, introducing students to choral literature, part-singing, and proper singing technique. It also helps students prepare for several performances throughout the year.
High School Multi-Media Class - This course is an elective Music and Multi-Media course for Secondary school students desiring to learn and perform studies under the realm of creative Arts. The goal of this course is to teach students to become better and more confident Musicians/Singers and to develop an appreciation for Vocal Music and other Fine Arts while utilizing their creativity and creating original works of art in the form of short Independent Films/Videos. This course counts as a full credit towards the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.
High School Debate- A course that prepares students for various competitions during the school year. This course counts as a full credit towards the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.
High School Praise Team - A zero period course that prepares the students for weekly chapel performances. Any student who wants to participate on the Praise Team must tryout in the Spring and be selected for the team by the instructor. This course counts as a full credit towards the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.
High School Yearbook - A course that captures the entire school year within one book. There are opportunities for photography, layout design and writing. This course counts as a full credit towards the Fine Arts requirement for graduation.
