The baseball program at TCA has a tradition of excellence. Baseball begins in Junior High (grades 7th-8th) and focuses on both competitive play and skill development. On the Junior High team, players develop critical skills including pitching and hitting in preparation for strong competition at the Varsity level.
We believe in giving our all every time we step onto the field, striving to get better every single day. Through baseball, we will experience both successes and failures, and our goal is to learn from and respond positively to both.
We also want to emphasize the team aspect of this great game. Each individual can choose to make the team better or worse. We must come together as a family, with each person fulfilling his role so that the whole team benefits. I Corinthians 12 talks about each part of the body having a specific purpose. Without all of those parts working together, the body cannot function to the best of its ability. We want to stress that every player brings necessary elements to the team as a whole.
At the varsity level, the ultimate on-the-field goal each year is to win a State Championship. In order to do this, we will put the team on the field that gives us the best chance of accomplishing this goal. As a coaching staff, we will try to put players in situations that will give them and the team the best chance to be successful.
