Trinity Christian Academy announces the hire of our new head girls basketball coach, Amanda Watts. Coach Watts was our JV girls basketball head coach and one of our Varsity girls basketball assistant coaches this year in addition to being our assistant softball coach. Watts has an extensive coaching background including volleyball, basketball, softball and track. Prior to coming to TCA, she coached at All Saints' Episcopal School, Fort Worth Country Day School and Cisco College. She is a graduate of University of North Texas.

Former head coach, Matt Dowling stepped down to focus on his coaching and ministry with our junior high athletic program. TCA Athletic Director Joe Hamstra added, "we are blessed to be able to bring in such a caliber of coach as Amanda Watts. Her experience and knowledge of the game will challenge our players to compete at a high level while she helps grow them in their faith." As we were searching for a coach that could help take our program to the next level and was interested in shaping our players into Godly young ladies, many of the people we spoke with concerning Coach Watts made comments like, "you won't find a finer coach that cares deeply about her players." In addition to her duties as the head basketball coach, Coach Watts will also coach high school softball and middle school track.
